Part of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC), the island’s only museum-quality gallery offers 4,000 square feet of flexible, climate-controlled space.
Local, state and international traveling exhibits explore important current ideas and issues; spotlight new and innovative work; and present a broad view of places, people and cultures.
Occupying the gallery for about a month each spring is Art Maui, a juried exhibition of creations by Maui County artists in all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography.
The gallery’s namesake is Carolyn Schaefer Gray, a philanthropist and supporter of the arts and a board member of MACC.
