You can visit the Downbeat Diner Lounge on Wednesday night, and come back on Thursday evening to have a completely different experience.
Downbeat Diner Lounge, located on Hotel Street in Honolulu’s Chinatown, is next door to a late-night diner, and owned by the same people.
The lounge is an intimate space to hear eclectic and up-and-coming Hawaii bands.
For example, there’s the Belly of the Beast punk show on the last Wednesday of each month. The three-hour show features the island’s punk bands.
Then on Thursdays, mellow out with blues, rock musician and folk rock band Tavana and 7 Pairs of Iron Shoes.
Note: The lounge is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
