Just around the corner from Bayfront on Mamo Street in funky and historic Hilo Town is a tiny French gem of a bakery. Locals all know it for its classic croissants, variety of quiches (including salmon, as well as bacon and cheese), scones and European holiday cookies.
Moonstruck Pastisserie is the inspiration of Jackie and Thomas Dewitt, and their commitment to excellence made them a #1 YELP star in 2016 in the “Dessert, Bakery and Coffee and Tea” category.
Moonstruck is a compact, cheerful little shop with a mural on the wall painted by Jackie’s daughter and the aroma of really, really good coffee in the air.
Good luck choosing between the White Chocolate Truffle filled Macaroons, lemon tart, green matcha cheesecake or Belgian chocolate croissants!
All of the tempting cheesecakes, bars, cakes and pastries are baked fresh for the day, and gone when they’re gone.
Hours: Wed. - Sat. 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
