Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and Mauna Kea, the world’s tallest sea mountain, evoke some very cool Hawaii Island activities. Grown in the rich volcanic soil, Kona coffee, (and Kona coffee tours) is exclusively Hawaii Island. And the coffee is unmatchable. On Hawaii Island, you’ll also find the most amazing black sand beaches — sand made up of tiny grains of lava. In the winter, it snows atop Mauna Kea — but when the weather is clear, Mauna Kea is perfect for stargazing.
