We understand that the loss of a loved one can be a stressful and uncertain time. At Hawaiian Airlines we offer added flexibility to get you where you need to be in times of bereavement. Whether it’s a new reservation or modifying an existing one, we strive to make things easier for you during this difficult time.

If You Need to Purchase a New Ticket

If you would like to purchase a flight departing within 48 hours, we will waive any applicable ticketing fees. We will also waive any applicable fare restrictions to ensure you are able to purchase our lowest available fare.

Understanding that your plans may shift after your booking is made, we will also provide a one-time waiver of the change fee (any fare difference will apply) in the event that you need to modify your reservation.

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. You must be an immediate family member to the deceased.
  2. Your desired travel date must be within 48 hours.

Ready to make your reservation? Here’s how:

  1. You must call Hawaiian Airlines Reservations to purchase a new ticket under our Bereavement policy.
  2. When you contact us, please have the following required information readily available:
    • Deceased person’s name
