In order to take advantage of our Fare-Hold option, the following restrictions apply:

  1. Flights cannot be held if travel occurs within:
    • 14 days for Neighbor Island flights
    • 21 days for North America flights
    • 21 days for International flights
  2. No more than one (1) reservation with the same guest’s name and route can be held at any given time
  3. HawaiianMiles award bookings are not eligible

How It Works


It's simple. Here's how it works:

  1. You search for a flight and find a low fare,
  2. Select your seat assignment(s),
  3. Purchase the Fare-Hold option to lock in the fare and seat assignment(s), then
  4. We hold your reservation for the specified time period and,
  5. When you’re ready (and within the Fare-Hold period), you may purchase your ticket(s) online!

Fare-Hold reservations end on the last day of your hold period at 11:59PM HST.

If you need more time, pay the Fare-Hold fee and return before it expires to complete your purchase.

Changes to Your Fare-Hold Reservation


Fare-Hold reservations cannot be modified until purchased. However, if you’d like to Fare-Hold a different itinerary, you can:

  1. Cancel your existing Fare-Hold reservation by visiting My Trips,
  2. Search for available flights using the new route and travel dates and
  3. Fare-Hold your new itinerary

Once you’ve purchased your Fare-Hold reservation, it is subject to Hawaiian Airlines Fare Rules and additional change fees.

 

Cancel Your Fare-Hold Reservation


There are two ways to cancel your Fare-Hold reservation. You can:

  1. Visit My Trips
  2. Under Saved Trips, locate the Fare-Hold reservation that you would like to cancel
  3. Click the “Cancel Fare-Hold and Remove Trip” link
  4. Your reservation and seat assignment(s) are now canceled

Or if you’d prefer, you may let your Fare-Hold expire and your reservation and seat assignment(s) will automatically cancel.

Keep in mind, Fare-Hold fees are nonrefundable and applied to each person on the reservation.

What is the benefit of the Fare-Hold service?

With Fare-Hold, you can take your time purchasing your reservation and rest assured that:

  1. The price of your flight will not increase,
  2. Your selected seat is reserved and
  3. The flight will not sell out!

Can I Fare-Hold a HawaiianMiles award reservation?

No. At this time, you are not able to Fare-Hold a HawaiianMiles award reservation.

Is Fare-Hold offered on all flights?

Fare-Hold is available for flights made through www.HawaiianAirlines.com. Restrictions apply.

How can I hold a reservation with Fare-Hold?

Once you’ve selected your flights (restrictions apply), you’ll be offered the option to hold your fare.

Will the Fare-Hold fee be applied to the purchase of the ticket?

No, the Fare-Hold fee is paid for when you hold your reservation and will not be applied to the purchase of the ticket.

Is the Fare-Hold fee applied to each passenger on the reservation?

Yes, the charge will be applied to each person on the reservation at the time Fare-Hold is selected.

If I purchase a Fare-Hold for 3 or 7 days and decide to cancel the hold within 24 hours, am I eligible for a refund of the Fare-Hold fee I paid?

No, you are not eligible to a refund of the Fare-Hold fee. The fee was collected to hold the fare for the period you requested.

Fare-Hold fees are nonrefundable and applied to each person on the reservation.

Will I receive a reminder to purchase my Fare-Hold reservation before it expires?

If you would, you may opt-in to receive an automated email reminder that will be sent to you 24 hours prior to your Fare-Hold expiration.

What happens if I do not purchase my ticket before my Fare-Hold period expires?

If you do not purchase your ticket prior to your Fare-Hold period expiration, your reservation and seat assignment(s) will automatically cancel.

Can I purchase my Fare-Hold reservation by calling Hawaiian Airlines or in person at the Airport Ticket Offices?

Your Fare-Hold reservation can only be purchased online by visiting My Trips.

If I purchase the Fare-Hold reservation, am I still eligible to receive a full refund within 24 hours after purchase?

Once you’ve purchased your Fare-Hold reservation, Hawaiian Airlines Fare Rules applies.

Guests may cancel their reservation within 24 hours of purchase without penalty. However, Fare-Hold fee(s) is nonrefundable and will not be included in the refund amount.
