Not only does Hawaiian Airlines accept surf, kite, paddle and wake boards as checked baggage, if you’re traveling to Australia or New Zealand, your board is included in your free baggage allowance when your travel is nonstop, direct and/or with connecting service.

What you need to know


Conditions of Acceptance:

  1.  Fins must be removed or well padded
  2. Entire board must be protected by a suitable container
  3. Limit of two (2) boards per container
  4. Container should contain boards only
  5. Charge will be assessed per container
  6. Transportation is subject to availability of space*

*Hawaiian Airlines is not responsible for the ground delivery of your board. Once it has arrived at your destination, we’ll notify you to pick it up at the airport.

 

Sports Equipment Fees and Restrictions


How much will it cost to transport your board and equipment? It all depends on your destination. Keep in mind that long layovers could mean you’ll be charged baggage fees to and from your layover point.
